assistance required - URGENT! I was a client site in my go to black suit and noticed that our friendly "insert downtown name here" has been invaded by men whose trousers are way too short in order to show off their brightly colored socks. Please direct them to the nearest MegaBus headed towards the North Pole. Santa needs these guys to finish making toys.

The uniform idea is catching on. I envision a "workfromhomearmy" of black t'shirts, dark jeans and snazzy sneakers coming to a coffee shop or more likely a bar near you. Forbes gets it! "By wearing the same thing every day, you'll better realize what's important to you" homeplaceofthefuture daily log 4848
In 4848 days of working from home give or take a few years I've experienced something today for the first time. It's cold here and my work from home uniform has been modified a tad to make up for my thermostat challenge. My normal black t'shirt has been replaced with a black hoodie. I'm not ashamed to say that I've worn this hoodie for 3 days now day & night with zero shower -- who needs to leave or clean themselves in the homeplaceofthefuture especially in winter? I was feeling a bit human today and decided to shower. Crazy I know, but when I took off my hoodie I saw a t'shirt that I completely forgot I put on underneath my hoodie 3 (maybe 4) days ago! I had a good laugh because I honestly don't remember putting on this particular t'shirt - just another day in the cold & now showered homeplaceofthefuture homeplaceofthefuture daily log 4791
If you do happen to be seen in public for at least 2 days in a row and you're wearing the same shirt -- it's perfectly fine. Wear it with pride you work from home! homeplaceofthefuture daily log 4767
Whew! Friday’s button issues are just a memory and I’m back in my uniform. They say it’s smart to have a uniform, one less decision you have to make every day. Steve Jobs, Zuckerberg, Hillary, Jeremy Clarkson all have uniforms and so do I. For my life’s uniform I’ve chosen a plain black t’shirt from Old Navy (sometimes GAP when I go to the post office) with either jeans or shorts and usually with sandals or shows with no socks. It’s a timeless look and my kids will look back fondly on how Dad looked the same for years. |
